This project aimed to understand and identify the dangers and scope of result manipulation in European soccer and design a strategy to prevent the problem and help protect the values of fair play, integrity and sportsmanship in soccer. To this end, the project has achieved strategic partnerships with soccer (and sporting) institutions and anti-corruption associations in six countries: Germany, Lithuania, Greece, Italy, England, and Portugal. Thus, the project undertook to raise awareness, prevent and solve the phenomenon in two ways: (1) by providing information and training of officials and soccer players, and (2) by reaching out to the interested public through the dissemination of information on websites, blogs, media, and public events.
